Sue is a Certified Cash Manager with broad experience in cash management, treasury operations and accounting and has been a consultant in the industry since co-founding Walls & Associates in 2001. Her 20-plus-year career encompasses all aspects of cash management for banking, mortgage banking and corporate entities, including negotiating credit agreements, managing collateral, investing, allocating debt, and overseeing various back-office operations (e.g., wire room, reconciliations, etc.).

Sue began her cash management and accounting career in the corporate sector. This experience provided a great foundation for her later transition into the banking and mortgage banking industries. Career Highlights
Performed project manager role for selection and implementation of on-line corporate banking applications for both NetBank and First Citizens Bank of SC.
Acted as Product Development Manager for Treasury Services at First Citizens Bank of SC, which involved the development and implementation of corporate treasury management products to be sold to clients. This role also required extensive back-office involvement and training to ensure that products performed as intended and could be adequately supported prior to going to market.
Represented corporate accounts area for bank mergers, working closely with the purchased bank to convert the acquired corporate accounts to the appropriate corresponding platforms at First Citizens Bank of SC.
Acted as lead cash management representative for corporate mergers, requiring the analysis of cash management operations and the subsequent consolidation of services, processes and applications.
Managed daily cash operations for a large public utility company, a top-25 mortgage lender and a leading internet banking institution.
Managed the accounting activities associated with the Wachovia Bond Department, which dealt with institutional investors, public funds, and bond syndications. This role was additionally responsible for safekeeping investments and reporting for all public funds.
Negotiated with South Carolina Treasurer's office to simplify public funds collateralization and reporting requirements.
Member of First Citizens Rate Committee; provided cost accounting analysis in support of product pricing.
